  • The wage reimbursement provided to employers covers a portion of the student's salary plus the employer's share of benefits (Canada Pension Plan, Employment Insurance and vacation pay)
  • Employers who want to apply for funding under SEED must obtain and complete the two-part application form for employers. The application kits are available at the Department's Regional Offices, Human Resource Service Centres and Service New Brunswick Centres. There is also a mail-out of application kits to previous year employers for their convenience.

  • The deadline for applications in usually March 1 for the summer term.
  • Students must be residents of New Brunswick. In order to be considered for referral to SEED jobs, all eligible students must register in the Student Employment and Referral System (SEARS). SEARS is a central computerized database which matches the requirements of SEED employers with the skills, education and location of students. Application kits are available at the Department's Regional Offices, Human Resource Service Centers, Service New Brunswick Centers and New Brunswick Universities, Community Colleges and High Schools.
