$25,000 value Intended to foster the development of new research partnerships between academic researchers and companies that have never collaborated together before by supporting short-term research and development projects aimed at addressing a company-specific problem in the natural sciences or engineering fields.
- Proposals are accepted at any time and are submitted by a university professor.
- Applications are reviewed and approved within 4-6 weeks
- Companies must operate from a Canadian base and demonstrate clear intentions to further develop and apply any technology for the benefit of the Canadian economy.
- Research must be completed within 6 months of funding and is expected to start within a few weeks from the date of the award letter.
